Education

The majority of the teens who arrive at Seton Home are two or more years behind in school, and two-thirds are regular truants and do not see graduating in their future. Through Seton Home’s comprehensive education program, our teens are not only graduating High School, but are continuing onto college or vocational school!
Our comprehensive education program includes:
  • Counseling to help start the healing process
  • School enrollment within 3-business days of arriving at Seton Home
  • Year-round after school tutoring
  • On-campus summer school classes
  • Transportation to and from school
  • School uniforms
  • School supplies
  • On-site licensed Child Development Center
  • Education Managers to attend parent/teacher conferences and encourage our teens to reach their educational goals!
In addition to academic support, Seton Home provides the following services to our teens to teach them the critical tools they need to be loving and nurturing parents, self-sufficient individuals and contributing members of our community:
  • Parenting classes
  • Life skills trainings
  • Financial literacy classes in partnership with Woodforest National Bank
  • Job skills trainings and on-campus internships

Seton Home’s On-Site Child Development Center

Seton Home is unique as our mission focuses on not one, but two generations, moms and their children. It is important for children to start their love of learning early on and Seton Home’s on-site Child Development Center starts them off on the right foot!  With a focus on school readiness, Seton Home’s team of Child Development Instructors work with the children to promote social skills and learning through play and lesson plans are designed to promote social and emotional development, physical development and health, communication, language and literacy, cognitive development, and creative arts.
